Do You Have Fear?

DO YOU HAVE ANY FEAR... OR IS IT A FACTOR? We had a Fear Factor Birthday party for Hayden last weekend. It ended up being a really fun party. The boys really got into it. I knew that I had done my job when one of them told me that he felt nauseous! We set up the party like the TV show and had certain challenges that we asked the boys to do. They got points for doing the challenges and prizes for everyone. We had 7 different challenges. WORMS WIGGLE CHALLENGE: This was the funniest challenge to watch. I had a jar of real earthworms that I showed the boys, I told them that I would give points to whoever would participate, but, I would not tell them what they were going to have to do... they would just have to commit whether or not they would do it. 4 boys out of 10 decided that they would do the challenge. I blind folded 2 of the boys and had the other 2 waiting in another room. I put the real earthworms in their hands, then we told them to open their mouths, at this point I put gummy worms that had been soaking in water in their open mouths. The boys that were watching we had shout of things like "gross" and "the horror", when we brought the last 2 boys in they were feeling pretty reluctant to participate, but finally did. SO FUNNY!
DOG FOOD CHOW: I emptied a can of dog food, washed the can and filled it with Spam and then challenged the boys to eat it. Some of the boys thought dog food was quite tasty others would have nothing to do with it.

I went to the mexican market and bought several food items to give the party an authentic feeling. Here is Jon, he had no fear when touching this cow's tounge.

PIG SNOT CHALLENGE: I filled cupcake liners with cool whip that was dyed green, on the bottom of the liner was a piece of gum shaped like a tounge that they had to get out with their mouth. Because we had different animal body parts in jars some of them assumed that there were actual pig tounges on the bottom and gagged or refused to participate.

Of course no Fear Factor Party is complete without KITTY LITTER CAKE!

OK this sounds like it was so much fun! What great ideas you came up with. I bet that was the best B-day party! I'll have to remember such craftiness when Finn gets older. Great Job!

Happy Birthday Hayden!

Oh Lori! I love that you could do this! AND I don't know how my friend that gags at everything could manage it! I couldn't hardly look at a few of the pics... I would have had zero points!! I'm sure the boys LOVED it! Good job.
